  • 10.1 and broadcast monitoring?

    Hi all
Can somebody confirm whether or not the new version allows for broadcast monitoring with either the Matrox or Blackmagic boxes? I haven’t updated to Mavericks as yet due to the fact that I’m still waiting for Matrox to sort themselves out… However I’m obviously anxious to upgrade to 10.1 but don’t want to lose the ability to watch the output on an external monitor. If the BM Infinity works then I think I will jump ship…

    Thanks in advance
    Nik

    Thanks guys
So can you use fcpx over two displays with these units? I use a mbp and it only has one thunderbolt output that goes to my second display at present, my Matrox is connected via the PCI slot which frees up the thunderbolt?

The BM ultrastudio express is working. I used to have the non retina mbp with one thunderbolt port, had to get the retina for the extra thunderbolt port and hdmi.

BM stuff works fine, just make sure you have the latest drivers (9.9.3 i think…)

Is the FCPX video-out lag still there in 10.1?
