Compressor updates are interesting.
Ability to run Compressor as an encoding node on a Mac without a monitor.
English translation: MacMini and MacPro.
So MacMini encoding clusters are in demand?Improves performance when encoding mp4 and AVI files.
Compressor 3 didn’t even do H.264 .mp4

Just loaded a 3 hour project with 290 clips in,all operations much faster, thumbnail and waveform redraw doesn’t seem to affect skimmer and playback performance as it did for me in 10.03.
Very happy so far!

Technically, an .m4v is the same bitwise as an .mp4. But changing the suffix always felt like a hack, even if it wasn’t changing any bits.

Unless I’m susceptible as well, things are much more snappy. Much much better.
