April 10, 2012 at 7:42 pmHmm, so they couldn’t get a new feature out in time for NAB so they get the badly needed stability fixes out.
So Tick Tock does seem to be an establishing pattern.
10.0.5 in July I’d guess. -

Time to start speculating about new features!
Live audio mixing via roles?
Selectable render scratch?
Selectable attribute copy/paste?
Add back ProRes LT?
Versioning that does not require duplication and bloat?Best,

April 10, 2012 at 8:05 pmWell I guess this shows Apple is kind of still dabbling in the “pro” NLE market. This is obviously an NAB update created to make certain they have a solid showing in the various booths that will have FCPX stations…

That is really wonderful news. I am glad to see reliability being prioritized.

April 10, 2012 at 8:13 pmPrelim results show that project bloat isn’t as bad. It still swells a bit, but performance is much improved.
Just made an 1h40m compound clip and chopped it up randomly with a blade to a total of 20 items.
Project went for 10MB to 90 MBs with much better performance. This would have brought 10.0.3 to it’s heels.
Trying to test this as I also do real work in FCP7 on another machine.
FCPX has caused my to neglect my day job so many times….!
Compressor and motion got updates, too.

“As I previously mentioned, something “feels” different, I opened my feature projects and they scrub considerably faster than before, no slight delays on playback. It seems to be back to the speed that the original was.
