1 Project, 2 Procedural/shortcut questions.
I’m doing what is for me a rather large project. I’m splitting it into several smaller sections, editing each as its own project, then pulling them all together in a final project with the other projects nested within.
1) Is there an easy way to make the master project adjust the length of the nested projects automatically as I edit/change them? Hope that makes sense. Basically I edit with 2 Vegas windows, one with the master project, the other with the segment I’m working on. If I change the length of the current segment as I edit, then is there an easy way to make the master project adjust that nested projects length, according to the changes? I’d just like to click a button or something to update all the nested projects, rather than have to drag the end of the clip until I find the new end.
2) Is there a script or something that would read through this master project and the projects nested within it, and either mark, or move all the files in a folder or folders that aren’t used in the timeline? This way I could go through all my many, many clips and look at just the ones that aren’t being used, and delete them if they are not something I need. I have room for all the data, but was wanting to back it up, and figured it would be easier if could eliminate all the video I’m not using. But need an easy way to do that.
Thanks in advance for any input/help on these.
