  • 1 or 2 frame delay on audio/video outputted in uncompressed QT from CS3

    Hello Everyone

I thought I noticed this sometime ago, but put it down to my mind playing tricks on me, but now I have definitely noticed this happening again on my latest job. The QT outputs I am getting from CS3 have a 1 or 2 frame descrepancy between audio and video, with the audio seemingly coming in that little bit quicker than how the timeline plays everything back.

The edit is very quick/tight and often cuts on beats/music cues. However I have outputted an uncompressed QT from CS3 and then converted with the LG_Prog QT settings in Sorenson Squeeze, and this is when I notice the delay. I am unable to test the uncompressed QT as it is a little too large for my computer to play comfortably.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any tips on how to eliminate it, or are my eyes and ears really playing tricks on me???

    Please help!

I’ve seen it on a couple of projects, although it didn’t seem to happen with with all project.

The delay appears on most Quicktime exports and seem to be happening after one of the recent QT updates.

What I did was shift the audio tracks forward 2 frames.

Only takes 2 seconds, but I would love to see a fix for it…
