    Hi,

I’m having a strange problem here.

All my playouts to digital betacam are 1 field off. And as offset is only to the frame in FCP settings, i can’t correct it that way.

I have a Dual 2.3Ghz G5, an ATX8OOXT, Final Cut Pro 6.0.2, a Decklink HD PRO, and it it genlocked on our nodal timecode generator, so is the betacam recorder.

I work in PAL 25FPs and the rushes were captured from the very same digital betacam using the HDPro.

And of course, the recorder is out of cause as Flame and Smoke correctly playout to this machine…

Any ideas of what’s happening ?

    Best regards,

    Jean-Luc

Is the video on the Digibeta field reversed?

Same big problem, but with 1 frame. Can’t offset correctly in FCP because the shift is always different.

I tested out the same playout with same settings 10 times : 4 times correct start on 10:00:00:00, 5 times start on 10:00:00:01, 1 start on 09:59:59:24.

I playout for example with the Blackmagic tool – all is correct.

I use FCP 6.0.1 on MacPro 8Core (10.4.11) with a Digibeta DVW-500P over Blackmagic Multibridge.
