    Hi Guys,

For some reason a function I used to always use, seems to have stopped working.
I’m guessing it’s user error, but after a few searches online, I’ve come up with nothing.

Usually, when I could manuever selected clips using the numeric keys (ie. up or down channels (with numeric 8 / 2) and right / left one frame using (1 / 3).

Now though, when I do this it does not work!

I’m having a hard time finding a way to nudge clips around frame by frame.

    Any tips appreciated,

    -T

It works for me as well. Interesting that 4/6 look like they do the same thing as 1/3.

BTW, my number lock is on.

Yes if the number lock is off then that part of the keyboard is off. Try it and see what happens.

I would not describe the keypad as “off”. If the numlock is off, the keys on the keypad revert to their primary functions which are cursor control, page up, page down, etc. That goes back to the first IBM PC which did not have dedicated keys for cursor control, insert, delete, etc.

When I explored Vegas’s behavior, I wondered if this did not harken back to those old days, since the 8/2 combination harkens back to the old cursor control. However, the 1/3 key usage does not match (it should have been 4/6), so I can’t guess why the developers used those keys.

    Hi Guys,

Russ > that was exactly it! Thank you very much.

It was driving me crazy, and now I’m back in biz 🙂
