  moving keypoints together in the z axis

  Dear all!

  I’m have a really annoying problem –
  How do I move a whole 3D layer (including its keypoints) forward in the z-axis? I’ve managed a few times but normally I just move a single keypoint forward in space…. I’ve tried highlighting all the keyframes and then moving the layer in the preview window but I’m rarely lucky with it!

  Simply select all the keyframes and then scrub the z-value property from the timline.

  Thank you very much although I have tried that and, after selecting all the keyframes, adjusting the z axis setting only adjusts one of the keyframes. It’s maddening!

  Ahhhh…. It does seem to work but only if the ‘current time indicator’ is on the first keyframe of the sequence. Phew. Thanks for your help.

  Just FYI, it should work as long as your current time is on ANY of the keyframes. 🙂

  Hmmm, interesting.
  I just checked, and I can indeed rest my time on ANY keyframe and it will work, adjusting by scrubbing a value, or moving it around in the comp window with my arrow, or even nudging with arrow keys.

  I am on CS3 though so perhaps they have changed it (seems like it would be a step backwards in my opinion). Also on a Mac, though you wouldn’t expect that to matter either.
