    Hi,

I’m experiencing problems when smartrendering MPG2 files in Vegas 8 and 9.

I’ve matched the compression settings in the Mainconcept plugin (GOP length, bitrate, etc), so the ‘No recompression required’ message appears.

Nonetheless, when I use transitions and fades, the image ‘jumps’ back a few frames on the points where the re-rendered parts meet the unrendered parts.

I’ve played around with every setting in the Mainconcept plugin, but I did not succeed in finding a solution.

Some technical details: the source material originates from a Sony DCR-SR37E Harddisk camcorder. Analyses of the files learned that the nominal bitrate is 9.100.000 bps, with a gop length of 12, and 2 b frames.

    Can someone please help me?

    Thanks in advance,

…I had same problem also…. altough I had some success “adjusting” or changing my overlaps & transitions, on one project I decide to render my timeline to AVI first….

    good luck
