    Hi Everyone,

I’m a new user of Sony Vegas so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.

I have a track motion picture moving accross the screen and I want to copy and past to another layer so I can have the same photo follow the first one. I want to keep all the same track motion keyframes as they are slightly complicated. But when I copy and paste the picture to a new layer I loose all the keyframes. Is there a simple fix that I am overlooking?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

What you want to do is copy and paste the keyframes. The easiest way to do this is right in the Track Motion window. Just select each of them (CTRL+Click), then right-click copy, move the mini-timeline cursor to the new position and paste.

Thanks for the help John. I actually figured out an easier way, which was just to right click on the layer and hit duplicate track. But your answer led me there so thank you!

That was a good solution too. 😉
