  Flip video AVI problem

  Alright, so whenever I split an AVI file from my Flip video camera it seems to mix frames around. For example; I’ll split a video then somewhere in the video, where I haven’t even touched, has a frame switched with another frame from a couple seconds before. I don’t know if anyone else has had this problem, and I can’t figure out how to fix it! I have the latest build. Can anyone help?

  Flip uses some non-standard MPEG4 format. It is possible that Vegas is having problems decoding it. You might want to use another program to convert the video to a format that is easier for Vegas to edit and see if that fixes the problem. Any video converter will do but Super(c) seems to be a fairly good one. Vegas likes DV for SD or MPEG-2 or AVCHD for HD but MJPEG, HuffYUV, or Lagarith codecs can also be used with both SD & HD with good results.
