Not sure where you read that but it’s not true. Vegas Pro 8.0 runs great on Vista 64 in 32-bit mode. Vegas Pro 8.1 is a 64-bit application and so runs natively on Vista 64 in 64-bit mode.

I’m not sure if this is still the case bit you have nothing to lose by trying.

January 4, 2009 at 2:08 amThe c stands for the latest version of Pro 8. Make sure you down load the latest version Pro 8c.

The red and black frames are a bug in Vegas. It’s Vegas’ way of saying that it is having problems displaying the frame. Sometimes it’s a memory / resource issue, sometimes it’s unexplainable. Sony has acknowledged the problem and is trying to fix it. I have seen them in my own work. I usually just exit Vegas and start it again and everything is fine. It would be great if Sony could fix this but it’s nothing to do with your footage or anything you are doing wrong.
