Optimising imported still image sizes for Vegas import
Hi Folks,
I regulary import still image sequences into Vegas 8 for rostum-style track motion work. I’ve noticed that sometimes the images stay sharper than others, but it’s difficult to maintain the really crisp data from the master files when zooming in (3x/4x).
Does anyone know what the maximum size image Vegas will accept as ‘super-data’ thats’ held outside the main project canvas size? This seems to be a bit of a black art and results seem to depend on the format of the imported images/project settings. Obviously even on a full HD project it’s quite easy to import much bigger images from even amateur stills cameras, but often they go soft when I try to zoom in.
I’ve solved this to some degree by importing cropped-down versions of the master images and using them on additional tracks, but this mean I have to get the alignment spot-on as the ‘sharp’ dta comes in.
Hoepully someone out there will understand what I’m on about if they’ve had the same problem!
Thanks.
