Vegas pulling in wrong file
I am using Vegas 6.0d. I had a project and pulled in a new file with raw video, put it in the trimmer window, and added a bunch of scenes (events). Then I saved the project, burned a DVD and everything was fine. Went back into the project this morning and every scene I added is from a different video file! The durations and placement in the timeline of the events are correct, but the video within the event is not. It is pointing to a different video file which is in the project but not the one I used to originally do all the add’s from the trimmer window. Any idea’s? Did I lose everything?

Right click the “wrong” file, choose “Replace”, and replace it with the right file.

Ed: I need a little more help please.
When I right click the event in the time line and choose select in project media, it takes me to the correct file in the project media window.
When I right click the event and select properties, the file pointer is to the incorrect file. I can not change the file name here.
I don’t want to choose replace in the project media bin because it is the correct file. Also, the project uses both the “correct” and “incorrect” files in different scenes, so I will need both.
Any idea’s?
