  Problem using Vegas 6 and gearshift…….

  Im trying to make a proxy dv video stream with gearshift in Vegas 6, ive loaded the 1 hour M2t clip onto the timeline, the size of the M2t is 11.6GB, i select PAL DV for the converted file, then click on “Entire timeline” within gearshift and click save it to a spare hard drive however the outputted file is coming out at over 300GB!!!

  Is this the correct size or have i got some settings wrong somewhere ?
  i knew it was going to be big but an 11gb file into a 300gb one???
  any help appreciated

  Sounds like you’ve also got it set to make a Cineform Intermediate – make sure that “None” is selected in Gearshift’s HD panel on the right.
