Are you using version 3 of particleIllusion, or SE? SE has limited formats compared to 3.0, but you can save out TGA files with an alpha channel (might not show up in the drop down as I recall, but it does work if you just leave it at the default and type .tga after the filename).

    actually my version is 3.0.1

I have TGA, maybe after rendering in TGA frames, i will use a third party application to batch TGA into PNG so i get the results.

In any case it will be useful to know how to do this directly from PI.

here is the project im working with:

Im trying to LOOP the HEADER effect and the ANGEL ANIMATION’S FIRE, to get a continuos animation (until now without success) .

Any advises on how to get this to work?

    Best Regards

Just render to TGA. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to render PNG though.

So you’re using particleIllusion 3.0, and there is no “PNG” option in the file types pulldown list when specifying the output filename? I don’t know how that would be possible.

Email wondertouch support, although I’ll say that you’re probably not using a registered (legal) version of the software. I apologize if I’m wrong, but we’ve never received a “I can’t save xxxxx image format” messages from a registered user.

But you’ve also missed the most important part of my previous message — the part that says “just save as TGA”.
