  Transparent Backgrounds…

  I want to overlay the emitters on to a video, but my problem is i can’t load the video files into PI SE, becuase it simply crashes. This Happens with all Fraps files (if you could tell me why i would be very greatful). Is there anyway of making a transparent background, so i can apply the emitters to video, by laying them on a seperate video track, in say vegas? I was also wonding how i can import photoshop images, if you can.

  If you render out of pI as a .tga sequence, your particles will have an alpha channel. If its not in the dropdown when you’re choosing a format to render to, you can just type .tga after your file name and it will allow you to save alphas in the Render Settings screen.

  Check out the Frameserver portion of this tutorial as a way that has always worked for me to get clips from Vegas into pI with no hassles.
