    Hi there,

I’m working with some uncompressed 10 bit footage on AE CS3 and when I play it on the composition and/or render out I see the higher or the top line of every other frame/field flickering.

I checked the interpret footage settings and everything seems to be ok (separate fields / lower field first, Pixel aspect ratio DV/D-1)…

I’d appreciate if any of you guys could help me out!

    Thanks,

    Marcos H.

    Thanks, Dave.

Just one question: when I create a new comp, by simply dragging the aforementioned clip onto the “comp icon”, that line doesn’t show.

The settings between both comps seem to be the same though.

Should I be checking something else.

    I actually just found out what’s happening. I had time-stretched it 50%…

Still, isn’t there anyway I could fix it? Although it’s outside the TV screen safe area, I’m afraid that as that’s going to be on a DVD, if someone plays it on the computer they’ll be able to see the line.

    Thanks again,

    Marcos H.

Sound to me like you’re just seeing the VITC. This is quite common actually. I usually just crop it out with a mask.
