  • help please with Pete OConnell rotoscoping tutorial…!

Posted by Jacob Drewett on October 14, 2008 at 5:15 pm

hi, i have ae cs3 and have been trying out Pete OConnell’s rotoscoping tutorial, i think ive followed it exactly but after i link the expression between the ‘anchor point’ of the solid and the ‘position’ of the keyframed footage, all i get is the pencil outline i have drawn around, not the footage that should be inside!!!

if anyone has watched the tutorial and knows what i mean please could you help?

    thanks

i was not impressed by the “clicking stuff in the background” without explaining what he was doing.
if you are going to use key commands in a tute, one should make sure they mention, describe and explain.

Aharon Rabinowitz’s posts are very articulate and specific.
this tute was rushed and not as informative.

for example, how does he pull up the magic crosshair?
i have been using ae for years and never seen that tool /guide so i was excited…only to hear a key comm in the background…
