So, I tried posting this in the fcp forum but i guess this is a better place to ask:

What should my settings be under details and anti-aliasing when exporting to MPEG-2 via compressor? How can i tell, and what will produce the best results?

Honestly, with Compressor 2 and those features for MPEG-2, I wouldn’t use either. It takes exponentially longer to encode with those features and can be very buggy (as in encode will never start). But, I would suggest taking a short clip and running a bunch of encode tests with certain features on/off to see for yourself. I just have not had any luck with any of my installations/updates of Compressor 2 in this area.
