I’m trying to get rid of the home button on an iPhone model. The model was originally a hypernurb that I have made editable. Instead of trying to create a new polygon to fill the hole, I just made a simple plane and put the same texture on it. But, when I go to render, it looks different than the face. I made sure the plane was completely flush with the phone surface. Any ideas?

the phone looks like it’s not likely to be perfectly flat and in any case it’s not sharing the exact same Phong settings (which may not help even if it was)… you probably have to cut out part of the geometry around the button and do a Fill Polygon Hole
