  Emergency: How do I make segments stay connected to each other while Extruding?

  Hi everyone,

  I’m still pretty new to 3D modelling with C4D, and I’ve seen this fixed before, I just can’t remember what to do first before I extrude. The piece I’m working on is about done, but it is due on Friday, and this base is the only thing I need left to do.

  It would be great to get it figured out asap.

  make sure Preserve Groups is checked in the Extrude Options

  That’s thing, it is.
  Even tried it with another Premitive with a few subdivisions added, same issue.

  it works, can you post an example file where the extrude doesn’t work?

  You need to set the minimum angle in the extrude tool to a positive number, like 89.

  Hi Adam,

  I’ve tried that as well, and it’s still not connected. I need to make an Inner Extrude after the extrude, and it’s creating a weird split at the corner of the top faces that are selected.
