Illustrator > C4D Spline Importing Issue
Hi All,
So as you can see, I’m having some trouble with a path import between Adobe Illustrator and C4D, and I’m curious if you guys have any ideas of how to fix this problem? Thanks for all your help over the past year, by the way, this is my first post and I’m a newbie to most of this stuff but have created my first animations with the help of this community! Much love! 🙂

what version of C4D? (might not make a difference) – Probably would have to see the illustrator file to see what it does.

Hey sorry, I didn’t see your response. thank you! I’m using cinema 4d student R17.048, and here’s the illustrator file:

interesting, seriously goofed file. It’s an ascii ai try exporting as binary (version 8, of course). I don’t have Illustrator anymore but I opened it in Affinity Designer and it looks ok there and if I export as an eps (designer doesn’t do ai export) that eps opens fine in c4d.

Just delete the stroke and save as Illustrator 8 I have just tried it and it solved the problem
