  • \\\Dynamics/// – having trouble with gravity and multiple objects !!!

    Hello,

I’m making a short animation to show the functioning of an object.
A ball follows a rail downwards, falls on a receptacle that is pivoting, which should drop the ball
on the base of the object when rotating.
It works perfectly until it arrives on the receptacle, but I make it rotate, the ball stays sort of “attached” to it
as if gravity wasn’t working anymore.
Would anyone have an idea, of how I could fix this ? Does it have to do with the dynamics of the ball itself
or of the receptacle. I’ve tried every option available as far as I know, and I would reeeeally appreciate
    someone’s help 😉
Here is the video on which you will see what I mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXx2InPluiI.

    Thanks !!

no, it has to be the construction of the scene. The ball is moving after the ‘spoon’ rotates so dynamics are working but something is keeping it up, without the scene file it’s hard to tell.

Hi Brian, thanks for replying !
Indeed it must be difficult to see without the scene.
The thing is, when I delete the “spoon” and play the simulation again, the ball seems to stay
stuck at the same level/height and does not fall to the bottom.

May I upload the C4d file so you can have a look at it ? It’s been made with a french version
so I hope it works fine with yours.

Here is the link to the file by WeTranfer (sorry I can’t upload the file directly here for some reason).

Ok so, my bad, it’s just a veeeeery stupid thing 🙂
I had a ghosted object that was interfering with the scene the whole time, which I got rid of.
How come I only noticed it now I don’t know…
    Thanks anyway !
