  • Apply FBX or AXYZ Mocap Data to Non-Human Object

    Hi

I am trying to figure out how to apply the mocap data from AXYZ to inanimate objects. A good starting point could be a sphere or cube – how can I assign areas of the object to an arm or leg of the AXYZ rig?

Initially I thought this could be possible by using the FFD or Correction Deformers and simply assigning nulls influenced by AXYZ points to areas on the deformer cages.

This would create a cartoonish look that could be quite interesting to experiment with.

    Thanks

    Hayden

I’m not familiar with AXYZ, but presumably you could use Xpresso and/or Constraint tags. In Xresso you can use point nodes to move points to other objects’ or points’ positions.
