Make Sure UV’s are unwrapped proportionally
So I need to recreate a 2D photoshop element in 3D, and then stick the PSD to the 3D element. The shape is fairly simple it looks basically like a file folder- a rectangle with a tab. How do i make sure the UV’s are unwrapped in a way that I can bring in the PSD layers from the original document to the texture map and keep them in proportion?
I tried using the stock unwrap options (cubic, etc) but they distort the polygons
