Modeling a Cassette
I took on a mission to make a few seconds video of a hovering cassette. Because I thought I had a good hunch on how to do it.
What I did was:
1) Made a path in photoshop
2) Rendered them to C4d by saving for illustrator
3) Started dividing the paths to splines and then extruding nurbs on them
((4)) My plan then (if 3 would’ve worked) was to chop up the original image
and place it on the nurbs, so it would have the same look, but it’d be in 3d.Now, this didn’t work for me, because when I extruded the nurbs, I had holes
in the middle of my cassette which I didn’t know how to fill in, and for that same
matter I didn’t know how to make one of my path to be a hole in the cassette. In the end, my questions are:
1) What is the most efficient way of using nurbs from paths? (for my project)
2) Is it possible to place an image on a polygon/area and make it fit so it looks real?
3) Do u have any other tips for me?
Really appreciate any help on this, thanks.
