Hi, i am having tons of problems, in my animation various objects have video playing on them, but when i create a texture with a video file it does not move, and when i try to render i get a “Texture Error” message.

i am exporting the video from FCP and have tried several different exports, and i still get the same error massage.

    please help.

    thank you…

What codec and resolution are you using out of Final Cut…?
(does the resolution fit your object sizes in Cinema 4D…?)

In Cinema 4D put your movies and textures into a texture-path Cinema can find…
(open Cinema’s Preferences / Texture Paths / select your Path..)

Regarding playback in the Viewport / in the Material in the Attributes-Manager
open the Editor Tab and check Animate Preview…

Otherwise use a JPG-Image-Sequence as your Texture, that might improve
    playback-speed in the Viewport considerably…

Hi, i’ve am using several since i can’t get the one to work, i set the path and it still gibing me a texture error when i start to render, i figure that cinema 4D 11.5 should handle most codecs. bur i am trying to find the one that does not give me that error.

Editor tip for playback works great, thank you very much for your help.

i did not know it was so hard to incorporate video in to the animation

Well, this seems to be an “issue” with Cinema 4D 11.5…
I am still using R 11.0 with Snow Leopard and have not encountered such problems…
