    Hi there,

I want to animate an array of about 128 individual lights in intensity to create a oscillating (intensity only) string of light. I was thinking and tinkering about it for some time, but I didn’t come up with an idea that does not involve intense manual labour on each individual light ; (

Still, I’d say there must be some way to do this programmatic or at least somehow more intuitive; simply I cannot find the proper approach. If you guys can think of something I do very much appreciate if you do share your wisdom.

    Thanks a lot, Best, Hannes

how do you want the oscillation to be? All together? A pattern running down the lights (assuming they are linear)? Random?

Right, a pattern running down the lights… Any ideas? Best, Hannes

Put the light in a MoGraph cloner set to grid mode and use a shader effector with color mode on and “use alpha/strengh” off, in conjunction with an animated gradient or bitmap.

Hi Adam, Did some research on mograph, it looks very promising. Only real catch: I’m working on c4d 10 with no mograph : ( Will look further whether I can update! Best, Hannes
