    Howdy Sports Fans,

I’d be much obliged if someone can help me out with this one. I’ve got a 3d Object of a honeycomb type pattern used in the background of a logo that I’d like to have “grow on” to fill in it’s space. Think sort of like vines growing. However, I do not have the original vector files so sweep nurbs is kind of out of the question and I’m not very familiar with animated alpha mattes in a layer shader, but might that work for what I’m after? If so, could someone point me in the right direction:)

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks so much!

    Best,
    Ryan

What you could do is select all the top edges (from a side view) and then convert those to splines with the Structure>Edit Spline>Edge to Spline command. Then use the splines in an extrude nurbs.
