    hi all,

stupid question. I accidently hit something which now prevents me from moving an object along an axis.

For example when i want to move an object along the x-axis, i’d normally roll over the x-axis arrow and it’d turn yelllow…but for some reason it’s not changing colors….

i’m able to move the object, just not along any particular axis; just able to move it all around…

    any ideas?

    thanks

I can think of a couple things it might be. In the Viewport>Config>View options there’s a checkbox called “active axis stems”. If that’s unchecked the arrows will only tint (and be draggable) if you roll over the heads of the arrows — not the shafts.

There’s also the F12 hotkey which temporarily disables the axes. Maybe your F12 key got stuck?

Otherwise … might be time to trash your preferences.
