    Hi all!

I actually have a sensible question for you.

I have been asked to produce some lower third straps for a new video podcast.

I can get the graphics to do exactly what I want, but how do I go about rendering these out to retain the alpha channel so that they can then be imported into FCP?

I’ve tried a few methods. The most success I had was with a PNG sequence, but when they imported each one sat for about 2 seconds and did not look good.

This may not help, but I’m not the one using FCP and I am unfamiliar with it.

    Hi Toby,

After you add the composition to the render queue, in the Output Module Settings, set the channel to RGB+Alpha. Depth should now have a + symbol next to it. For the colors just choose pre-multiplied or straight depending on your case.

When you render out the alpha channel will be included.

    Hope this helps!

flash only supports premultiplied, just in case.
