    My 3d background comes basicaly fron lightwave, and i’m having a hard time finding something that can replace the subtact, add, and intersect tools.

    You might like and try a Boolean-Object.
    (Objects / Modeling / Boole)

    For some reason the booleans are not working properly, this is a simple text with some lights and textures and for some reason it’s not registering some letters and it’s making my computer very slow.

    Found the problem, It happens when you use fillet and caps on the text.

    Probably using too wide a fillet, which is easy to do with narrow/fancy fonts.
