Hi! Does anyone know how i can use a sequence of bitmaps as a texture… I have a sequence of images produced by RealFlow and i want to use them as a mask in a water material that i already have… Any idea??
I am a little newbie in these stuff so please be patient!…

    Thanks a lot

If you have 9.6 – in the texture colour channel import the first image of your sequence,
click the edit button and select the animation tab – click calculate.

9.6 is only needed if you want to be able to preview this in the editor, at rendertime this works since at least since release 5 if i’m not mistaken.

You ‘re right my friend, thank you!! But…

(That’s my fault) I believed that with this knowledge i could understand what i had to do…
My tries are about making a boat to “cut the ocean effect”. So i used RealFlow and i run out the tutorial that exists in User-Guide https://www.nextlimit.com/realflow/userg/user_guide.pdf …This process exports a sd file and a sequence of tga files that includes the foam. And the tutorial says:

“When you give texture to the sea, use the sequence foam.tga as a mask to create the
effect of the wake, using a more off-white material than the water. The foam sequence is
in the project folder, in folder images.
All platforms can use a sequence of bitmaps as a texture […]”

So, i have to make this sequence, mask to my other material(water)… Is this possible ??

    Now, i talk clearly!! 😉
