looking for the right 3d program for motion typographics design
Hi everyone,
I’m new in 3d and need to decide which path/software to follow.
I have the impression that Maya is something versatile(strong in character animation, modelling) but with a relatively slower renderer. Cinema4D is simple and effective, has the shortest learning curve among major 3d softwares. And 3D Max is more like general software but with strong particle systems and faster renderer, and a bit more complicated to get on grips with than Cinema4D.
Because my personal interest is more in “motion typographics”(with minimum interest in sophiscated/photorealistic modelling and character animation) that involves typographical manipulation(such as light effect of 3d typography) and simplistic 3d modelling, I am thinking Cinema4D is the best one for me to take on with. Also it seems C4D is the fastest/requiring lower computer configuration.
Would anybody pls let me know if my knowledge of these softwares is correct, and kindly give any opinions about my choice?
many thanks!
