    I am attempting to create a distorted film effect in which the picture randomly loses saturation (using the hue/saturation plugin) the problem im having is there is no stopwatch next to the saturation slider so I dont have a way to add a wiggle effect to it… Or do I? Any thoughts?

    Deranged thought at 4:30 am…
    Hope it helps, I won’t remember this when I wake up…

    Duplicate your footage, desaturate the bottom copy…

    then play with the opacity of the top (unaffected layer)

    if you mess up the opacity at the right time.. it SHOULD look like it.. im sure theres a better way of doing this.. but i dunno what it is.. too tired 🙁

    DDDuuuhhhh!! Brilliant work around! I’m sure there IS a streamline way to accomplish the effect, but this works just as well. Thanks man!

    Cody, there is a simpler way;
    Try using the “Color Balance (HLS)” which has a keyframable Saturation Slider.
