BCC Optical Stabilizer 6.0.7.2 and PAL interlaced HD
Hi! I’m trying BCC OS (default settings) with ProRes 1440×1080@50i and get jerky result. To eliminate this, i can to use De-interlace filter – it’s working, but i lost 50i video. De-interlaced video is not acceptable in my case, so what i can do? Maybe you can help me?

Where exactly are you running into the problem…with Optical Stabilizer?
What does the footage/problem look like?

Sorry, i forgot 🙁 I am using Final Cut 7.0.2 and BCC OS 6.0.7.2. My video is HD video 16:9 1440×1080@50i ProRes
The problem i have looks like a small jitter. Only one field are stabilized or something like this… If i’ll apply deinterlace after BCC OS – jitter will disappear and stabilizer will work fine. But i need both fields, deinterlace is not acceptable 🙁

I rendered as is and it looks good.
I then rendered without the deinterlace filter and it still looks good.
I see no flicker or interlacing in FCP
Where are you seeing the problem.
Do you have an output file or screen shot that shows the problem?

Did you try another field order in deinterlace filter?

Interlacing MUST be visible with HQ timeline settings and 100% canvas size. You see no interlacing??

I can record screencast but it takes time…

if you can see the problem parked on a frame you can send me a screen shot.
If not a video would be nice.
I took off the deinterlace because I thought you didn’t want to use it and it would give me a chance to see the problem.
Let me know if that is correct.

I see the “interlacing” issue even with no filters applied.

If FCP show’s interlacing it is normal. FCP must show both fields in canvas with 100% frame size and HQ timeline. If canvas sets up to fit frame (or timeline is medium/draft)- fields not showing.The problem appears on interlaced footage because BCC OS process only one field. If i take progressive footage – stabilizer works fine. Can you ask yours software engineer – BCC process both field or single? Maybe you can check it? Thanks!
