  Creating custom transitions

  Hi all,

  I am new to using Avid FX (supplied by Boris FX which, I understand, is almost the same as Boris Red).

  I want to create a custom transition, but I am unable to find an explanation on how to do this.
  Does there exist –
  1. A doc which explains how transitions work in Boris FX?
  2. A tutorial?

  I hope that someone will be able to help.

  Hi Peter,

  Thanks for this. I have already seen and used this tutorial. Quite cool actually.

  However, it didn’t realy help me understand how transitions work, nor did it give sufficient guidance to enable me to create my own.

  Any other pointers?

  Hmmm … what type of transition effects are you trying to create? Perhaps I can take you through the steps and with that you will be able to see how these things are generated. Also, there are many tutorial DVD’s which cover this subject – try a google search on Boris Graffiti Tutorial DVD to find them.
