  need help using Boris Red 3GL in a 23.976 AVID Xpress Pro project

  I have never used Boris Red in a 23.976 project, but I need to now, and I’m noticing that any clips with a Boris Red effect applied are turned into an interlaced clip, and then only 1 field is being played, So not only are the clips with a Boris effect applied interlaced, but they look like crap. Is there any kind of setting in Boris for it to be able to take incoming Avid data as progressive, and spit it back out progressive. I have tried messing with many of the Preferences. I have set the Import Movie and Export movie settings to be Non-interlaced. Has anyone else had this issue?

  I am using Avid Xpress Pro HD 5.2.1 and Boris Red 3GL 3.04

  At a guess 🙂

  Make sure that in the prefs, use host settings is checked, then in the render tab, make sure that render better field rendering is unchecked.
