  • Bending a flat image in 3d space…

Posted by Chris Pass on March 5, 2008 at 10:30 pm

Ok, i know that the stock plugs all give a 3d look, but is still a flat 2d image in 3d space, but i need a way around it without shelling out $299 for zaxwerks stuff.

i just need to bend a flat image but have it usable in 3d space. i’m running cs3 pro. any suggestions with what i have?

What are you trying to achieve precisely?
It’s quite likely you can get the effect you want by faking it.
Unfortunately, we can’t offer recommendations if we don’t know more about your specific project. There are a number of ways to approach this depending on what you are going for.

You can’t do it without buying a plugin. Consider Zaxwerks 3D Layer (?) or Forge Freeform, if it’s still available.

Depending on what you’re after, you may be able to just use CC Cylinder, and set it to render the inside only…
