Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to use Wirecast by Varasoft for a 3 camera shoot and whether it worked out not?

Yep. We have a four cam studio built around wirecast. We have done many 1/2 hour direct to the internet streaming shows. The problems we’ve had had more to do with connectivity that with the software.

You’re going to need an extra firewire card to “spread out” the bandwith.

“You’re going to need an extra firewire card to “spread out” the bandwith.”

Wirecast recommends a separate firewire bus for each camera so you will need a separate card for each camera.

True. But, we’ve been successfully using four cameras on only two cards (one built in and one extra).

Yeah, but I guess extra buses for Laptop is probably not going to work because most only have one Card bus slot. Are you using a tower?

We use three cameras on Wirecast. We use a Mac Pro tower.
