    Hi,

Does anyone know why the audio sampling and TC is linked with the sequence preset (not sequence settings) of FCP?

I had some strange out of sync problems on my last projects, the audio that I import take over the sampling of the frame rate sequence preset,…

For example, I receive a wav file 48khz 30s long based on a edit @25fps.
All my sequence settings are fine and coherent but when I import this audio file FCP told me
that it was not 30s long but 29s23fr,… (my sequence preset was on 23.98 fps
BUT if the sequence preset is 25fps, and i import the same file it’s suddenly correct and 30s long,…

    ….. Why?

    Tx

    Antoine

I’ve had similar issues with my audio tracks. I found that in the EASY SETUP menu you choose what frame rate you want use for your sequences. Since FCP reads in timecode it has to turn seconds into frames. It takes the .wav file and timecodes it to whatever frame rate you have in your EASY SETUP.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
