  Out of Memory Issue

  Is there another reason I could be experiencing “Out of Memory” notices when I attempt a render, other than over sized still images, which I know can cause this?

  I have plenty of RAM memory, usually about 8-9gigs showing. If I shut down FC and re boot, the problem usually goes away, but eventually creeps back in.

  Sort of a side bar, during these conditions I will also get a big red “missing Codec” indication as well. Usually after a couple of render attempts, that one goes away. But re appears randomly.

  Is there a Cache limit or something I don’t know about?

  When I have gotten an Out of Memory notice I restarted the computer and everything returned to normal.

  i also get “out of memory” if i have my sequence set to “Video Processing” “Render 10 bit material in high precision YUV”
  i usually set it to RGB or 8 bit YUV.
