Haven’t found my exact answer. I like the way ProRes has ended up looking on my Blu Ray project burned in toast 10 using Compressor’s HD settings. All I’ve read points to a slightly better quality with H.264. I want to see for myself and compare so my question is: Can I simply use the ProRes timeline that I have already finished and send it to Compressor for H.264 encoding? I’m just using a iMac 27 quad core so rendering will be an overnight affair, just don’t want run the tongue out of my mac for the wrong reason.

    Thanks

Yes. You can chose “Send to Compressor” and apply the preset you need.
