  De-Activate all effects in TL

  Hi Everybody,

  maybe this was asked before, so forgive me – cause I did not find it:
  I have a full feature film, that goes into re edit and has tons of FX and CC applied to the clips on the TL.
  Is there a way to select all clips in TL and de activate all of them at once, or I really have to go through every single clip, de selecting them one by one?

  Are You sure, Raphael? Can’t he select>all, then right-click >remove attributes / check all that apply? That won’t get rid of transitions, but still…

  Hi Rafael,

  Now that sucks. Even though I know FCP 7 is eol, I still use it quiet often, and I would have thought,
  That having an option to switch all FX in a TL on/off is a pretty basic thing to have.
  It’s one of those things, like missing feature of changing audio keyframe interpolation, that I never understood, why they are missing in a pro app.
  Wow, that’s gonna be a though cookie: one by one switch off for more than 1000 clips. :-((((((

  That will remove them completely…not just deactivate them.

  Does ANY NLE do this? Avid doesn’t, PPro doesn’t from what I can see. In all the NLEs I use, you can’t simply deactivate all in one or two steps.

  That’s actually a weakness then of all NLEs.
  But I guess removing will help me: I can just duplicate my TL,
  Then remove all the FXs through Attribute removal.

  hang on…

  isn’t there a setting in FCP to simply ignore the FX?
  (this is me checking)
  YES: Sequence Settings> Render Control > un-check Filters

  there could also be an XML solution,
  BUT you’d very likely lose any master / affiliate relationships

  That question have been asked MANY times on this forum and this is the first the first positive answer I’ve read. In 10 years I’ve never paid attention to that option.
  Great FC, it bring solutions for everybody even after dead.

  Yes, Rafael, Ninck is definitely the man here!
  I so was looking for this for many many years, and there it is, right in front of us,
  actually in the MOST logical place even 😉

  And yes, even though it’s EOL I still LOVE FCP 7 and it would be so great to bring it back to life.
  I just did my first edit on FCPX and started working on AVID, but there is some things I really prefer and love in FCP legacy.

  Gonna miss it! (tear in the eye)
