    Hi.

Suppose I have a normal shot, and I want to make it look like this:

    https://es.youtube.com/watch?v=LtqRAYWjz2Q&feature=related

To achieve that I suppose I need to speed up the clip, but instead of using frame blending, by eliminating frames. And the problem is, that I have to eliminate more than the original frame rate (maybe the youtube I show you is 10 or 12 fps, while my shot is at 25 fs)

So, I suppose this can be made with after effects, but I haven’t found the way.

Can you think of any easy way, maybe by using certain expression or certain effect, to achieve this?

    Nice video.
I would put hold keyframes in the time-remap on the frames you’re interested in and then
pull them together like 3 to 5 frames from eachother…

Search the COW for “stop motion”.

They just sped up the clip. Most likely with deinterlacing, or they simply shot it progressive. Then they apply a strobe effect (forget what it’s called in AE) or they drop it in a timeline of that frame rate. OR just render it to flash at that frame rate. For example, if the sped up look isn’t jerky enough, try a 10fps frame rate. AE will drop the frames inbetween.

Or, you could just shoot with a stills camera

OK, thanks for your answers. I also found an August post with similar info.

Finally, what I’ve found to work similarly, is importing the footage into a 8 fps comp, and then time remapping it inside.

    Thanks
