Printing to DigiBeta from FCP 7.0.3 and Kona 3 (drivers up to date), I have to adjust the playback offset by one frame every time I switch between HD source and SD source. This happens consistently. It’s not a big deal, but I’m curious as to why this would be happening.

The Kona has a frame delay in the down convert. You can set a frame delay in the edit to tape window by using the in/out time code and subtracting one frame.

….AND…. there are different settings in device control for SD and HD.

With my Multibtridges it if 5 frames for both.

Thanks, Michael. That makes perfect sense.
