  • Submit button won’t appear in Compressor

    Hello all,

When I send a FCP project to Compressor, the submit button remains faded and I am not able to convert my projects. I have read that a possible solution is to reinstall FCS, but I’m afraid I will lose all the work I’ve done on projects in FCP. What are the possible solutions to get Compressor back and running again?

    Thank you,
    Victor

It’s a Qmaster vs compressor version issue. 3.5 vs 3.53 they have to match

I’m guessing u put fcpx on ur machine? It moved all old fcs apps into a subfolder and the updated can’t find them. There is a post I was a part of awhile ago on here…search for it.

I have FCP 7. I’ll search for the post. Thanks.

I actually just found out that both versions match (3.5.3). I’m not sure what the problem is.

Try to export a self contained quicktime movie using current settings. Then take that QT file into Compressor and try again. The problem may be in FCP or Compressor but this way we can isolate the issue.

If you can’t submit anything in Compressor then it might be time to try Digital Rebellions excellent Preference Manager which allows you to delete preferences in FCP and Compressor. Often weird problem can be corrupted preference files in various software.

Thank you. I removed Compressor then reinstalled it, and that seems to have solved the problem.

Another solution, without the need of re-installing:
