  Garbage matte layer postion in effects stack

  Does it matter in terms of computing power and render times where the garbage matte is placed in a series of effects applied to a composite clip?

  Is it better to leave it off where possible?

  Don’t think it would matter when in the list it’s added.

  The second question I don’t quite understand, other than the fewer the filters the faster the render probably.

  In theory, applying the Garbage matte first should reduce the rendering time cause the other effects will be applied to only part of the picture (the matted one).
  Not sure if in real life this happens.
