  • Exporting footage with colour solid masks.

Hello once again, different question here, I have a clip 15 seconds in length that contained images in the background I didn’t want in. I was able to add a solid colour to these parts of the image and ‘mask’ them – essentially deleting them out.

It looks fine but I’m curious now, can I export with the masks in place without losing quality to the overall image. If I just export as current settings will it be essentially the same file but with the ‘masking’ rendered on top?

    Thanks for reading
    Michael

The whole picture will be processed, but if you are using a good codec, the un-masked areas won’t degrades.
If you export Uncompressed, you will keep the original pixel.

Thank you very much, exported uncompressed with the colour masks and it looks the same to me without the annoying and intrusive objects which I covered up.

    Superb 🙂
